Removing the kick and leaving everything else...

there is another way of removing kicks. I like the call it a slice matrix. The cool thing is that it can be done in 9 out of 10 hosts.. Basically you have to be able to do 2 things.

1. Split the audio up from the start of the kick to the end of the kick (repeat this for all kicks).
2. Split the audios into 2 frequencies (a the kicks frequency band and b everything else).

- You then put all these files back together in your host.
- Delete the section that contains the kick
- Move the section after the kick back to where the kick was and time stretch back to the full length.

uhh let me get a diagram..

This one..

Basically the 2 tracks are the same audio file split into the 2 frequencies. The top one is just the kicks and the bottom is everything else. Then I just erased the kicks from the top and stretched the rest of the audio over top of where the kicks where. Sounds perfect with no artifacts..
